We had a great time in Kennebunkport Maine. We went on a working lobster boat one day and sailing the next. The Nonantum Resort was just fantastic in every way.
Checked out the Kittery Trading Post on the way up here. The Kittery Trading post is as far North as I made it in Maine previously. During the week we were in Portsmouth New Hampshire for commissioning on the USS Augusta in 1985, I hitched a ride there with a couple of guys from the boat. The air temperature was about 8 degrees and we had to wear civilian clothes and none of us had jackets. We were OK because the car had a good heater.
Anyway I'll do a bunch of posts about this place I just wanted to start out by recommending it for beautiful scenery and the friendliest people. I am so glad I went here and the kids I think will remember the lobster boat and the sailboat for the rest of their lives. It was awesome !!!
